An Investment Requiring a Radiant Tube Heating System
Following a £500,000.00 investment, Four Pure Brewing opened a new taproom based in London which was set to ‘blow people away’. The new facility includes a bespoke horseshoe bar with 43 taps, a reception room, brewery shop, meetings areas and a live music area.
Since opening its doors in 2013, the taproom and tour experience has changed and grown to suit the brewery's size and offering. One thing the facility was missing was an energy efficient heating system - that’s where Combat came in.
Designing the Right Radiant Tube Heating System
Combat were able to provide the ideal solution in the CoRayVac radiant tube system, which offers a bespoke design allowing for the constraints of the building structure. Combat designed a heating system to the main floor area and a mezzanine floor space used as a seated area for eating and drinking, which had previously been used as a warehouse. Having refurbished the space, the client wanted to retain the industrial look and feel of the building with an indoor and outdoor experience. By leaving the roller shutter doors open throughout the year, customers could use the internal and external space freely and move into the main bar.
Radiant was the only heating option that allowed this indoor/outdoor ambiance as a warm air system would be constantly flowing out of the door and heating the external atmosphere.
Energy Efficient Heating
CoRayVac is an energy efficient system due to its vacuum operated, burners-in-series design, combined with its ability to condense. Lowering exhaust temperatures puts more heat in the space, less waste through the exhaust, helping result in additional efficiency and fuel savings. Burners regulate the air-to-gas mixture to achieve the optimum ratio for clean, efficient stoichiometric combustion. Models are available with inputs of; 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 kW. Burner features include: three-try, direct spark ignition, pre-purge, filtered combustion air and cast-iron burner head.
Unique, revolutionary new deep-dish, wide parabolic design, continuous aluminum reflectors maximise 100% reflection of the energy emitted by the radiant tube down to the floor. End caps and continuous reflectors keep tube convective heat losses to a minimum and consequently the heat exchangers retain more heat for emission. The system utilises heat treated aluminised steel tube which radiates the warm, gentle, radiant energy.
