NRG Control Panel - How to fix scrambled screen

NRG Control Panel - How to fix scrambled screen

In most cases, intermittent scrambled or garbled screens on NRG controls are due to electrical interference. Ensure the mains cables pass through the supplied ferrite core to reduce interference. Avoid forming loops in the interconnection control wiring to prevent transient voltages and EMF, which can affect the NRG's electrical components.

Interuptions in power supply, such as poer custs, can also cause faults. If the NRG screen scrambles, follow these steps:

  • Turn off the power supply for 2 minutes.
  • Turn the power back on. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
  • Turn off the power supply. Consult and engineer if unsure.
  • Remove the screws and front of the NRG, keeping the ribbon cable attached.
  • Remove the battery on the left-hand side of the PCB (about the size of a 10p coin).
  • Leave the control without power and battery for 15 minutes.
  • Refit the batter and front of the control.
  • Turn the power back on.
