NRG Controller Instructions -  Setting the Temperature

Control Display Shows "HEAT OFF"

This message indicates that the desired temperature (target temperature) in the heated space has been reached. The current ambient temperature is displayed on the top right of the display.

To Check or Change the Desired Temperature

  1. Press the PROG/COPY button.
  2. Enter "0000" or your code if you have one.
  3. The display should now show "1 - TEMP - 2 DATA - 3 SYSTEM - 4 HOLS".
  4. Select option "1 - TEMP".
  5. The current target temperature will be displayed (default is 200C).
  6. Enter the desired target temperature and press Enter.
  7. You will now have the option to enable or disable Frost Protection. 

Frost Protection Options:

  • 1 for ON - Enables frost protection. After the daytime programme ends, the control will monitor the temperature and automatically turn on the heater to maintain the frost protection temperature. 
  • 2 for OFF - Disables frost protection. The heater will not activate until the next daytime programme starts.  

To Enable Frost Protection:

  1. Select option 1 ON.
  2. The display will show the current frost protection target temperature (default is 50C)
  3. Enter the desired frost protedtion temperature and press Enter.
  4. The display will read "1 - TEMP - 2 DATA - 3 SYSTEM - 4 HOLS"
  5. Press the RUN/FAN button to exit the programming and return to normal operation.

Note: There may be an increased risk of false intruder alarm trips if the heater activates outside normal working hours due to air movements affecting loose objects. 

To Disable Frost Protection:

  1. Select option 2 OFF
  2. The display will read "1 - TEMP - 2 DATA - 3 SYSTEM - 4 HOLS"
  3. Press the RUN/FAN button to exit programming and return to normal operation.
